Natalie David received her graduate degree from New York University in 1998 and has since worked in a variety of clinical settings. At the New York Hospital, Payne Whitney Clinic inpatient psychiatric hospital, she worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing acute care services to adolescent patients and their families. Since then, she has worked in outpatient mental health clinics in Los Angeles, in schools with children with special needs, and with the New Parent Support program on a military base. She has diverse experience with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
In private practice, she provides therapy to Adolescents and Adults struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, PTSD, College and Life Transitions, ADHD, Postpartum Depression and Parenting Problems. She also helps clients who need help with managing conflict, maintaining boundaries and improving communication skills.
She offers pre-marital and marital therapy as well as family therapy.
Natalie believes that therapy is a collaborative process that can only be experienced in a safe and trusting relationship, so finding the "right fit" therapist is crucial to the success of therapy.
Treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally- focused Therapy for Individuals or Couples, Psychodynamic Individual Therapy and Family Systems Therapy for Families.
Interventions and treatment modalities are usually Brief and Solution Focused.
The ultimate goals of treatment are always to find your way to a heathier and more positive, meaningful life, and to develop coping skills to utilize throughout a lifetime.
